Pashinyan donates ancient zoomorphic vessel to Kazakhstan’s National Museum
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan visited the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov. Pashinyan toured the museum and familiarized himself with the exhibits.
Pashinyan signed the book of Honorary Guests, the PM’s office said in a statement.
Pashinyan donated to the National Museum of Kazakhstan a bear-shaped zoomorphic vessel dated to the 1st–2nd century BC. The item was excavated from the rhyton room of the 8th hill in Artashat capital in the 1980s, and its original is preserved at the History Museum of Armenia.
Hundreds of vessels, bowls, painted plates, gemmae and other artifacts were excavated from the same room.
