Sargsyan’s unique Italian clothing store in Sacramento
Sargis Sargsyan is the owner of a unique Italian clothing store in Sacramento, CA. The store sells limited-edition clothing imported from Italy. The brand is called ManEmy, based on the names of Sargsyan’s two daughters, Maneh and Emily. The monogram “ME” represents their initials.
Sargsyan started his business venture in 2022. At first, he made a lot of mistakes—choosing the wrong idea and the wrong place to sell. He invested about $30,000 into an Amazon store, but it all disappeared. When the money was gone, he stopped the business and thought that was the end.
Surprisingly, the scam helped him get back on track. In April 2026, he received an email claiming someone was filing for my trademark. It turned out to be fake, but it made him angry enough to start again and do things right. In just three months, he went from nothing to 200 complete sets of clothing, which are imported from Italy.
What changed the second time was the people he worked with. He partnered with Niki Confezioni S.r.l. in Italy, a workshop that has been making clothes since the late 1980s. He believes that attention to detail comes from his Armenian heritage.
Sargsyan’s approach is simple, maybe even stubborn. He keeps things limited and never restocks the same line. Once a set sells out, it’s gone for good. Anyone who owns one knows that only 100 to 200 people in the world have it. While most brands focus on making more, Sargsyan wanted to make less.
