Armenia acquires V-BAT drones from U.S.
Armenia has acquired V-BAT unmanned aerial vehicles from the United States within the framework of the Armenia–U.S. military and defense partnership, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced.
“We have made significant progress in the Armenia–U.S. military and defense partnership. As part of our long-term bilateral security cooperation and the Eagle Partner military exercises, which have been conducted for three consecutive years, Armenia has acquired V-BAT unmanned aerial vehicles from the United States,” the Prime Minister said.
He noted that the effectiveness of these systems has been proven through extensive operational use and expressed hope that their acquisition will significantly contribute to strengthening Armenia’s defense capabilities.
The Prime Minister also expressed hope that the transaction, implemented under the U.S. Foreign Military Sales program, will serve as a basis for expanding bilateral cooperation in the future.
Meanwhile, U.S. Vice President JD Vance announced at a press conference that the United States had approved the sale of $11 million worth of reconnaissance drone technology to Armenia.
