Armenia appoints new Ambassador to the United States

Narek Mkrtchyan has been appointed Armenian Ambassador to the United States, replacing Lilit Makunts. Mkrtchyan served as Minister of Labor and Social Affairs since 2021 until this appointment.
The appointment decree was formalized by President Vahagn Khachaturyan at the advice of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
