Armenia Artsakh Fund Donates $673,000 of Stroke Medicine to Armenia
Armenia’s Ministry of Health issued a statement thanking the Armenia Artsakh Fund for sending to Armenia ACTILYSE (20 mg.) to treat strokes, saving many lives. The value of the medicine is $673,000. It was distributed to 7 medical centers throughout Armenia.
“The Armenia Artsakh Fund (AAF) has donated to Armenia $1.1 billion of humanitarian aid in the last 36 years,” said Harut Sassounian, President of AAF.

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia expresses its sincere gratitude for the humanitarian assistance provided to Armenia in the form of high-cost medicines.
Through the “Armenia–Artsakh” Fund, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia has received humanitarian aid from the organization Direct Relief, specifically the medicinal product ACTILYSE 20 mg (Alteplase 20 mg).
A total of 500 packages of ACTILYSE 20 mg (Alteplase 20 mg) were delivered. Up to 200 patients at the hospitals listed below benefited from this donation.
In Armenia, a state program for the treatment of stroke is currently in operation, within the framework of which thrombolytic therapy and mechanical thrombectomy are widely used in patients with acute ischemic stroke, provided there are no contraindications.
ACTILYSE 20 mg (Alteplase 20 mg) has been distributed to the following medical centers:

Ø “SURB GRIGOR LUSAVORICH” Medical Center
Ø “EREBOUNI” Medical Center
Ø “NORK-MARASH” Medical Center
Ø “ASTGHIK” Medical Center
Ø GYUMRI MEDICAL CENTER
All the listed medical centers are equipped with the necessary medical equipment, and all specialists have undergone training in European countries and are fully qualified in the indications and proper use of ACTILYSE 20 mg (Alteplase 20 mg).
The use of thrombolytic therapy in the treatment of ischemic stroke is considered an international standard of care and allows for a significant reduction in mortality and disability.
The use of ACTILYSE 20 mg (Alteplase 20 mg) provides the opportunity to save numerous lives.
Armenia has a significant need for ACTILYSE 20 mg (Alteplase 20 mg), and we would be deeply grateful for any additional assistance in supplying this medication to Armenia in the future.
