I intend to be the prime ministerial candidate of the Civil Contract Party in the 2026 parliamentary elections, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a press briefing Thursday.
He assured that the process of registering MP candidates will be transparent, with the ruling Civil Contract Party’s ideology serving as the main foundation.Pashinyan said that the Civil Contract is a democratic party in which electoral processes are conducted openly and transparently, and decisions are made collegially.
“Our [the Civil Contract Party’s] political activity is not determined by my person. I am the chairman of the party’s board, whose vote has decisive importance, but that does not mean that issues are resolved on a personal level,” the Armenian premier noted.
