The Armenian government’s interference in church affairs is a key indicator of its growing authoritarianism. World renowned lawyer and international human rights defender Robert Amsterdam wrote on X.
“Mr. Pashinyan’s insecure and hysterical exclamation “the government is me”, tells you all you need to know about this “democracy” so often hailed by the West,” he noted.
Earlier, the Armenian Prime Minister said that his opinion is the only one that matters in decision-making and there can be no other, and anyone in his team who disagrees, can submit a resignation letter.
