Azerbaijan grants amnesty to all participants in aggressions against Armenia, Karabakh
News.amThe Azerbaijani authorities have decided to grant amnesty to all participants in aggressions against Armenia and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
According to the draft act on amnesty, it is planned to release from punishment or criminal liability persons who directly participated in the 44-day war in 2020 and the Azerbaijani occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as close relatives of those killed or missing during these actions and persons who became disabled, according to APA.
The initiator of this “humanitarian” amnesty is Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev himself.
Thus, the Azerbaijani authorities will further entrench their policy of Armenophobia, which has been actively pursued since Ilham Aliyev came to power in October 2003.
