Clashes in Aleppo cause material damage in Armenian-populated neighborhoods, no casualties reported
Early Thursday morning, January 8, clashes in Aleppo resulted in explosions from projectiles that caused material damage in the Armenian-populated neighborhoods of Sheikh Taha and Villas, Kantsasar reports.
According to the source, there were no injuries and the damage was limited to property only.
At present, a cautious calm prevails in Aleppo, although sporadic gunfire can still be heard from time to time. Food shops, bakeries, and hospitals and clinics are operating normally.
Earlier, the army allowed residents of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Achrafieh districts to leave those areas until 1:00 p.m., amid ongoing security concerns.
