Council for Reform of Armenian Apostolic Church holds first session
The Council for the Reform of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church has held its first session, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote in a Facebook post.
“The Council for the Reform of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church convened its first session, during which the main directions of the Church reform process, organizational steps, and the scope of upcoming work were discussed, based on the principles and objectives set out in the founding declaration,” the Prime Minister noted.
The Prime Minister welcomed Fr. Archimandrite Gusan Aljanian’s, Locum Tenens of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Switzerland, decision to join the Declaration and Roadmap of the Church Reform Coordinating Council.
Fr. Archimandrite Gusan Aljanian, Locum Tenens of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Switzerland, has announced his support for the establishment of the Church Reform Coordinating Council initiated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and ten bishops and archbishops. He stated that he accepts the content of the published declaration and the proposed roadmap.
