Elizabeth Zoryan Elected President of Armenian American Medical Society

The Armenian American Medical Society elected Elizabeth Zoryan, RN, BSN, PHN, as the third female president and the first Registered Nurse to serve as President on the AAMS Executive Committee..
Zoryan stated, “It is a profound honor to serve as President of the Armenian American Medical Society at such a meaningful moment in its history. AAMS represents the power of unity across all healthcare disciplines, bringing together service, education, mentorship, and humanitarian commitment to uplift our communities locally and globally. Together, we will continue building on this legacy of excellence while inspiring the next generation to lead with compassion, collaboration, and purpose.”
Zoryan brings a rich background in nursing, community service, and nonprofit leadership.
Outgoing President Dr. Garni Barkhoudarian said, “Having a Registered Nurse serve as President is a meaningful milestone for AAMS and reflects the natural evolution of our organization. I am proud to pass the leadership into such capable hands and confident in the future ahead.”
