House Foreign Affairs Committee Unanimously Passes Cong. Amo’s Amendment on Artsakh

Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Vice Ranking Member Rep. Gabe Amo’s amendment to H.R. 3000 was adopted by unanimous consent during the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee Markup on FY2026 State Department Reauthorization Act.
The amendment read in part: “The Secretary [of State] shall engage with” the Government of Azerbaijan “to encourage the (1) release of the Armenian prisoners of war; (2) protection of Armenian religious and historical sites; (3) safe return of the refugees of Nagorno-Karabakh; and (4) peaceful end to the military conflict.”
