Lenna Hovanessian Files to Run for Clark County Commission, Pledges People-First Leadership
Las Vegas, NV — Community advocate, small business leader, and proud Democrat Lenna Hovanessian has officially filed to run for the Clark County Commission District F, launching a campaign centered on affordability, accountability, and opportunity for working families. Hovanessian recently announced strong early fundraising numbers in her first official filing, reporting $131,690.95 raised in under two months from more than 145 individual contributions.
Lenna, a longtime resident of the district, says her decision to run comes at a moment when too many families feel priced out, unheard, and left behind by local government.
“Our county government should work for the people who live here, not just the well-connected,” said Lenna Hovanessian. “Families are struggling with rising housing costs, higher utility bills, and neighborhoods that feel neglected. I’m running because we deserve leadership that shows up, listens, and delivers real results.”
Lenna’s campaign is focused on several key priorities:
Affordability and Housing
Lenna supports expanding access to affordable housing, streamlining permitting to bring down construction costs, and increasing oversight of how public dollars are used to address the housing crisis. She believes the County Commission must take a more active role in ensuring working families can afford to live in the communities they help build.
Smart Growth and Infrastructure
As Clark County continues to grow, Lenna is advocating for responsible planning that keeps pace with development. That includes investing in roads, water infrastructure, and public services so neighborhoods are not left behind while large projects move forward.
Public Safety and Neighborhood Investment
Lenna supports fully funding essential public safety services while also investing in community-based solutions that address root causes of crime. She believes safe neighborhoods require collaboration between law enforcement, local government, and residents.
Small Business and Local Jobs
A strong supporter of small businesses, Lenna wants to simplify county processes, cut unnecessary red tape, and make it easier for entrepreneurs to open and grow businesses locally. She believes economic opportunity should be accessible to working families, not just major corporations.
Transparency and Accountability
Lenna is committed to open government, clear communication, and ethical leadership. She has pledged to hold regular town halls, publish easy-to-understand updates on major county decisions, and ensure taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly.
Throughout her career, Lenna has worked closely with community members, faith leaders, and local organizations to address pressing challenges facing Southern Nevada. Her campaign will focus on direct voter engagement, neighborhood events, and a strong grassroots presence across the district.
“This campaign is about restoring trust and making the county government responsive again,” Lenna added. “When families succeed, our entire community succeeds. That’s the future I’m fighting for.”
