Macron to Pashinyan: France unconditionally supports Armenia’s territorial sovereignty, strengthening of peace
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with French President Emmanuel Macron, at the Elysee Palace in Paris, the PM’s office.
The interlocutors discussed a number of agenda matters related to the strategic nature of Armenia-France relations. In particular, they touched upon cooperation in economy, infrastructure, and some other domains. Pashinyan and Macron once again emphasized that bilateral cooperation between the two countries has strategic significance, and expressed readiness to continue consistent steps in that regard.
Next, matters of regional importance were discussed. The French president once again congratulated Armenia on the establishment of peace with Azerbaijan, and stressed France’s unconditional support for Armenia’s territorial sovereignty and the strengthening of peace.
The parties exchanged views also on the TRIPP project and the steps being taken toward the unblocking of communication routes in the region. In that context, the Armenian premier reflected on the progress of the ongoing work.
In addition, Nikol Pashinyan and Emmanuel Macron discussed matters related to the further development of Armenia-European Union (EU) cooperation. The parties underscored the consistent expansion of relations within the framework of the new Armenia–EU partnership agenda.
