No certainty on Erdogan attendance to European Political Community summit in Armenia
There is no certainty regarding Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s participation in the European Political Community (EPC) summit to be held in Armenia’s capital, Yerevan, RIA Novosti was informed by the Turkish president’s office.
“There is no specific information on this. It will be known closer to the date of the event,” said the interlocutor of the aforesaid Russian news agency.
Earlier, an Azerbaijani source, citing a diplomatic source, had reported that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev does not plan to attend the aforementioned EPC summit, which will take place in Yerevan in May 2026.
To note, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had told reporters that the presidents of Turkey and Azerbaijan, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ilham Aliyev, had been invited to Yerevan to attend the EPC summit, which will take place next spring.
