No proceedings against Catholicos of All Armenians in Anti-Corruption Committee
There are no proceedings against the Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II in the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia, the chairman of the committee, Artur Nahapetyan, told reporters Tuesday.
When asked whether the committee had a case regarding the Catholicos or his property, Nahapetyan replied that there was none.
Earlier, it was reported that the Prosecutor’s Office of Armenia has initiated criminal proceedings against the Catholicos of All Armenians on charges of obstructing the execution of a court decision related to Arman Saroyan—the defrocked Bishop Gevorg Saroyan, and Karekin II was banned from leaving Armenia.
