One of the most influential Armenians in Silicon Valley, Razmik Hovakimyan, granted Armenian citizenship

Razmik Hovakimyan, co-founder of Firebird AI and founder of several technology companies, has been granted citizenship of the Republic of Armenia. The passport was handed over by the Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan.
According to the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, Hovakimyan is an internationally successful entrepreneur who has held senior management positions at the Japanese technology giant Rakuten Corporation for years, contributing to the management of its global projects.
In addition to his notable achievements in the technology sector, Hovakimyan is actively engaged in social and educational initiatives. He collaborates with the Leo Messi Foundation, founded by Argentine football star Lionel Messi,as the co-founder and CEO of Play Time Sports-Tech Holding. The company focuses on promoting innovation and developing digital solutions.
Razmik Hovakimyan also co-founded Firebird AI, which is set to implement one of the largest technology projects in Armenia: the creation of a large-scale AI data center with an estimated investment of $500 million. The project aims to boost Armenia’s technological capacity and contribute to the advancement of the country’s tech sector.
