Pashinyan, Aliyev and Trump to Meet at the White House This Friday

Washington — Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan will meet with Pres. Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and United States President Donald Trump at the White House on August 8, according to an official announcement by Pashinyan’s office.
Pashinyan and Trump will meet first for about 50 minutes, after which Aliyev and Trump will meet for 50 minutes.
Later same afternoon, the three leaders will meet to make a joint declaration.
According to Pashinyan’s office, the purpose of his meeting with Trump is “to deepen the Armenia-US strategic partnership, as well as a trilateral meeting” with the Presidents of Azerbaijan and the United States, “to promote peace, prosperity, and economic cooperation in the region.”
