Political analyst Hakob Badalyan claims that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his wife Anna Hakobyan have effectively launched a pre-election media campaign under the guise of promoting education.
“They’ve announced a televised format for their Learning is Trendy campaign, which appears to be a broadcast of their lectures. As I’ve stated, this isn’t about promoting education, it’s about preparing for parliamentary elections,” Badalyan wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
“When the true goal is education, the campaign takes on a completely different logic and character. Transitioning from public lectures to television marks the beginning of a de facto election campaign,” the analyst stated.
He also suggested that even minor media traction is now seen as a success for Pashinyan.
Badalyan further criticized the opposition, stating that opposition forces have failed to establish meaningful dialogue with the public.
“No one is engaging new audiences. t’s the same message delivered to the same people day after day,” he said, emphasizing that rhetoric alone is not enough to drive political change.
