Roubena Avedikian Appointed Ari Guiragos Minassian Preschool Director

The Board of Regents of Prelacy Armenian Schools announced the appointment of Roubena Avedikian as the new Preschool Director at Ari Guiragos Minassian Armenian Preschool in Santa Ana. She will replace long-time preschool director Talin Wartan who stepped down from the position.
Avedikian has been part of the AGM community since 2019, working as a classroom teacher and taking on leadership roles in the school’s summer programs. Her experience includes curriculum planning, parent engagement, and ensuring regulatory compliance, all of which have earned her the trust of colleagues, students, and families.
Avedikian brings over six years of experience in early childhood education, supported by a strong background in school operations and administrative leadership. Her unique combination of classroom insight and management skills makes her well positioned to lead the preschool with both structure and care. In addition to her time at AGM, she has previously held leadership roles in recruitment and operations.
Avedikian holds a Bachelor of Science in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Northridge, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She has also completed coursework in Adult Supervision and Administration.
“We’re very pleased to welcome Roubena Avedikian into this important leadership role,” said Sarkis Ourfalian, Chairperson of the Board of Regents. “Her deep understanding of early childhood education, combined with her familiarity with our school’s mission and values, makes her a natural fit. We’re confident she’ll continue to build on the solid foundation laid by Talin Wartan and help lead AGM Preschool into its next chapter.”
Wartan has been a dedicated member of the AGM Preschool community for over 25years, first as a volunteer, teacher, administrator, and most recently as Preschool Director for the past five years.
Throughout her career at AGM, she made a lasting contribution through her educational expertise, dedication to early childhood learning, and commitment to helping young Armenian children take their first steps in the Armenian language. Alongside her colleagues, Wartan has helped foster a nurturing and Armenian-rooted environment that has supported generations of students.
“We are sincerely grateful to Ms. Talin Wartan for her years of service and commitment,” said Ourfalian, Chairperson of the Board of Regents.
“During her tenure, Ms. Wartan laid a solid educational and pedagogical foundation that has allowed AGM preschool to flourish. She has worked closely and tirelessly with her team to prepare the next generation of educators and administrators, who are now ready to step into leadership roles. Her dedication and openness to innovation helped make the preschool a stable and culturally rich environment that continues to serve Armenian children and families in Orange County,” added Mr. Ourfalian.
