The Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office has completed its preliminary investigation of Karen Avanesyan, a resident of Stepanakert. According to law enforcement, he allegedly attempted a terrorist attack on September 14 in the city center, while President Ilham Aliyev was visiting Stepanakert.
Reports indicate that police officers were injured during the incident. Avanesyan faces seven charges under the Azerbaijani Penal Code.
The trial is expected to take place in the city of Ganja, but the date has not yet been announced.
