Turkey: ‘World’s first’ laser-armed tank jams and fries drones mid-air

Turkey has introduced the ALKA-KAPLAN, a hybrid tracked vehicle that has a directed energy weapon system to fight drone threats on the battlefield.
This is the first system of its kind and will be officially shown at IDEF 2025, highlighting Ankara’s effort to use modern technologies in its armored vehicles and to deal with the rise of unmanned aerial systems.
