Armenia’s exports drop 40% in 11 months of 2025
Exports from Armenia dropped by 40.6% in January–November 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, totaling $7.349 billion, according to the Statistical Committee of Armenia.
Overall foreign trade turnover reached $18.9 billion, marking a 33.2% decline year-on-year. Imports also decreased by 27.4%, totaling $11.56 billion, Armenpress reports.
Despite the general decline, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, and China remained Armenia’s top export partners. Exports to Russia amounted to $2.725 billion, a 9% drop from the previous year. The UAE ranked second with $1.698 billion in exports, down 66.2%, while exports to China totaled $648.5 million, down 38.1%.
Exports to EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) member states also fell by 7.2%, reaching $2.948 billion.
In contrast, exports to the European Union rose by 7.6%, totaling $593.6 million. Among EU countries, exports to the Netherlands reached $127.5 million (up 11.4%), to Germany $101.6 million (up 74.3%), and to Belgium $127.1 million (up 15.9%).
However, exports to France dropped 29.5% to $5.9 million, and to Italy by 1.3%, totaling $60.4 million.
