Los Angeles Councilman Adrin Nazarian marked the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and honored the memory of the 1.5 million Armenians who were killed, as well as the survivors who overcame their grief and loss, and made major contributions to the societies they lived in, as artists and scientists, public servants and entrepreneurs.
“On this day, every year, I want to honor the achievements of those people, the descendants of the victims and the survivors, who struggled and rebuilt their lives. I invited an athlete who exemplifies the resilience of the Armenian people, UFC Lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan. Through his journey, he has exemplified the pride and resilience of the Armenian people, demonstrating the ability to rise, endure, and succeed against all odds,” Nazarian said. |
