I would be happy to see one day that the head of Armenia is a courageous, patriotic woman – Samvel Karapetyan

Leader of the Strong Armenia party Samvel Karapetyan said he would be glad to see a courageous and patriotic woman one day heading the Republic of Armenia.

“What prevents women from actively participating in public and political life? I am surprised and delighted by the female opposition figures in the National Assembly, female journalists, and female members of our team,” he said.

“I see the potential of Armenian women, and we will do everything to help them develop further, become courageous and strong, because women, in my opinion, see more accurately what the Armenian child, the youth, the Armenian person needs,” Karapetyan said.

He added that in one of his interviews he stated: “I would be happy to see one day that the head of the Republic of Armenia is a courageous, patriotic woman.”
