Archbishop of Canterbury, Dame Sarah Mullally, Visited Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem
On Sunday, 21 June 2026, at 5:00 PM, the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury, Dame Sarah Mullally, accompanied by the Anglican Bishop of Jerusalem and the Middle East, Archbishop Hosam Naoum, as well as other bishops and clergy, made her first official visit to the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem. She met with His Beatitude Archbishop Nourhan Manougian, Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem, and the members of the Brotherhood of St. James.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Archbishop of Canterbury presented His Beatitude with a beautiful artwork engraved on stone as a gift.
The 106th Archbishop of Canterbury, Dame Sarah Mullally, was appointed in January 2026 and officially enthroned at Canterbury Cathedral in March 2026. Archbishop Sarah made history as the first woman to assume this position in its 1,400-year history.
