LSU soccer player Sophine Kevorkian named to Armenian Women’s National Team

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — LSU goalkeeper Sophine Kevorkian was named to the Armenian Women’s National Team.
“I am proud to have American heritage and I am honored to play for and represent Armenia, a country with so much history, and culture,” said Kevorkian.
The Armenian Women’s National Team will be training from July 7 to July 17 before their first match on Friday, July 12 against Bulgaria in Yerevan in the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 qualifying round matches.
According to LSU Athletics, the team’s last match will be held on Tuesday, July 16 in Bucharest.
The San Diego, California native totaled 3,000 minutes, earned 34 starts and played in 36 matches during her time with the University of San Diego before she transferred to LSU in the spring, according to LSU Athletics.
Kevorkian is set to play in her first season with the Tigers this fall.
