Armenian and U.S. Servicemen Conduct Phoenix Platoon Training

The Kansas National Guard and Armenia’s Defense Ministry conducted their annual Phoenix Platoon training from August 31 to September 11, focusing on leadership, tactical planning and developing cooperation between Armenian and U.S. servicemen, the U.S. Embassy in Armenia reported.

The training brought together Kansas National Guard servicemen and representatives of the NCO corps from various units of the Armenian Armed Forces.

According to the Embassy, participants exchanged experience and knowledge in NCO leadership and tactical planning, learning about best practices from both sides.

The program concluded with several days of practical exercises aimed at developing the servicemen’s individual and team leadership skills, as well as deepening cooperation between Armenian and U.S. servicemen.

The U.S. Embassy noted that the Phoenix Platoon NCO training has been an important component of Kansas-Armenia cooperation for around 15 years.
