Armenia border guard injured in mine blast in Voskepar, Armenia
YEREVAN (ARMENPRESS) — An Armenian border guard was injured by an explosion near the church in the village of Voskepar, Tavush Province.
“As a result of a mine explosion in the vicinity of the Holy Mother of God Church in the Voskepar community of Tavush Province, Armenia, contract soldier of the Border Guard Service of the National Security Service, Sergeant Narek Gareginyan (born in 2000), was injured,” the Armenian National Security Service said.
“Narek Gareginyan’s life is not in danger. He is currently being transferred to a medical facility in Yerevan. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified,” reads the statement.
