Armenia Exports by Country & Products: Armenia Export Data 2025-26
Explore Armenia’s export data for 2025-26, including top export countries, products, export values, key trends, & major trading partners.
Armenia’s export market underwent a major correction in 2025 after an exceptional expansion in 2024, with the country’s export structure continuing to be shaped by precious metals and stones, electronics, mineral products, machinery, tobacco, beverages, and food products. According to the latest Armenia export data and Armenia customs data, Armenia’s exports reached $8.34 billion in 2025, a significant 36% decline from the previous year. According to Armenia’s export statistics, the country exported goods worth $3.41 billion in the first half of 2026 (January-June), a 6.7% decrease from the same period last year.
Armenia is ranked as the 113th largest exporter in the world, according to global trade data. Domestic exports of Armenian origin increased by around 10% to $4.5 billion, despite an overall decline due to cooling in transit and precious stone re-exports. The sharp year-on-year decline does not necessarily indicate a broad-based collapse in Armenia’s productive export sectors. A major reason was the normalization of extraordinary precious-metal and gemstone trade flows recorded in the previous two years.
As a result, 2025 provides a more useful picture of Armenia’s underlying export mix, while the first half of 2026 shows how the market is adjusting to changing demand, trade restrictions, and geopolitical conditions. For exporters, importers, sourcing companies, and market researchers, Armenia export data 2025-26 is particularly important because it reveals both established markets and emerging opportunities across Russia, the United Arab Emirates, China, Hong Kong, Iraq, Belarus, Switzerland, European markets, and other destinations.
Armenia Export Data 2025: Key Statistics
Armenia’s Statistical Committee reported Armenia’s annual merchandise exports at around $8.34 billion. The country’s total trade with the world stood at around $21.4 billion, including around $13 billion of imports. Compared with 2024, exports declined 36.1%, and imports declined 23.6%.
Armenia Export Statistics 2025

2. Armenia Exports to the UAE
The United Arab Emirates was Armenia’s second-largest export market in 2025, receiving $2.05 billion of goods. The UAE’s position is particularly significant because it functions as a major commercial and trade hub for precious metals, diamonds, and other high-value commodities. This makes the bilateral trade relationship different from a conventional consumer-market export relationship.
The extraordinary expansion of Armenia-UAE trade in previous years was strongly associated with precious-metal and gemstone flows. Consequently, the decline in these commodities had a significant impact on Armenia’s overall export statistics. For Armenian businesses, however, the UAE remains strategically important because Dubai provides access to buyers and distribution networks across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.
3. Armenia Exports to China
China ranked third among Armenia’s export destinations in 2025, with exports of $763.58 million, as per the data on Armenia exports to China. China represents an important diversification opportunity for Armenian exporters, particularly in minerals, metals, food products, and selected manufactured goods. The market’s enormous industrial demand also makes it strategically relevant for Armenia’s mining and mineral-processing sectors.
4. Armenia Exports to Hong Kong
Hong Kong ranked fourth, with exports of around $536.20 million in 2025. Its position alongside the UAE & China again highlights the importance of high-value commodities in Armenia’s trade structure, particularly precious stones, metals and related products.
5. Armenia Exports to Iraq
Iraq received $331.63 million of Armenian exports in 2025, placing it fifth among Armenia’s export destinations. Armenia Export Data 2025: What Changed from Previous Year?
The most important story in Armenia’s 2025 export statistics was the 36.1% decline in total exports. The decline was largely associated with the normalization of precious-metal and gemstone flows rather than a uniform fall across every export sector. During the first half of 2025, Armenia’s exports were already showing the effect of this adjustment.
In January-June 2025, Armenia exported more than $3.7 billion, down 52.8% year-on-year. Exports to Russia exceeded $1.3 billion, exports to the UAE were nearly $1.1 billion, and exports to China exceeded $288 million. At the same time, exports to the EU increased 1.8% to more than $286.7 million. This divergence is important: while total exports fell sharply, some non-precious-metal sectors continued to demonstrate resilience.
Armenia Export Data 2026: January-June Trends
The first half of 2026 indicates that Armenia’s export sector remains under adjustment. During January-June 2026, Armenia’s exports amounted to approximately $3.41 billion, down 6.7% compared with the same period of 2025. June exports declined 20.5% year-on-year but increased 5% from May. The first four months showed a smaller decline: exports reached approximately $2.33 billion, down 3.3% year-on-year.
April alone recorded a 25.9% annual decline. The composition of exports during the first quarter also provides useful insight. Mineral raw materials accounted for about $434.7 million, precious metals and stones for $364.8 million, machinery and equipment for $294.8 million, and finished food products for $286.6 million.
Together, these four groups accounted for roughly 79% of Armenia’s exports during January-March 2026. This suggests that Armenia’s export economy remains concentrated, but not exclusively dependent on precious metals.
Russia Remains Critical, but Export Diversification Is Becoming More Important
One of the defining features of Armenia’s 2025-26 export landscape is the country’s dependence on Russia. Russia accounted for roughly $2.92 billion, or around 35% of Armenia’s 2025 exports. This concentration creates both an established market advantage and a supply-chain risk. In 2026, Russia introduced restrictions affecting several Armenian products, including fresh produce, flowers, fish and alcoholic beverages. Data reported in July 2026 showed that Armenia was seeking to resolve restrictions affecting Armenian exports to Russia.
Agricultural exporters are particularly exposed. The Financial Times reported that Russia had received 90% of Armenia’s 2025 rose crop and that restrictions subsequently expanded to other products including mineral water, wine, brandy, vegetables, fruits and fish. These developments make export-market diversification increasingly important for Armenian businesses.
Armenia’s Growing Trade Opportunity with the European Union
The European Union remains a smaller export market than Russia, the UAE and China, but its strategic importance is increasing. According to the European Commission, the EU accounted for 7.9% of Armenia’s total exports in 2025, making it Armenia’s fourth-largest export market as a bloc. Armenia primarily exports manufactured goods and mining products to the EU, strengthening the EU’s trade relations with Armenia.
The EU also represented 11.3% of Armenia’s total trade in 2025. The European market offers Armenian companies an opportunity to reduce concentration risk and expand into higher-value markets. However, exporters must meet stringent requirements related to product quality, traceability, packaging, technical standards, and sustainability.
Top Export Opportunities for Armenian Businesses in 2026
