Armenia extradited two Turks to Turkey

Yerevan — Armenia handed over Erkan Yilmaz and Ibrahim Kaymak to Turkey, Daily Sabah reported.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey confirmed that two suspects who are wanted internationally have been transferred from Armenia to Turkey.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia announced that two persons “involved in organized crime” were extradited from Armenia to Turkey at the request of Interpol.
According to Daily Sabah, Yilmaz was wanted for 15 years, 43 arrest warrants were issued for him, and he was included in Interpol’s most wanted list for the last 14 years. It is said that he was connected with the famous leader of the Turkish organized criminal group, Barış Boyun, who was arrested in Italy in 2024.
Kaymak had been on the run for six years, escaping 10 arrest warrants issued by Turkey and an international arrest warrant issued a year earlier.
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Erlikaya said that the efforts of the Ministry of Justice and Interior led to the arrest of suspects in Armenia and their subsequent extradition. Erlikaya thanked Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Justice Tigran Dadunts “for his cooperation in arresting and extraditing” the two men.
