Armenia to skip another CSTO exercises
AKIPRESS.COM – Armenia will not participate in Collective Security Treaty Organization exercises in Novosibirsk in August and September in Kyrgyzstan.
In February 2024, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said the country has frozen its CSTO membership.
Armenia will not partake in CSTO exercises in Kyrgyzstan from September 3-15, according to CSTO secretariat. Kyrgyzstan will hold collective rapid response exercises Interaction 2024, intelligence exercises Search 2024, technical exercises Echelon 2024.
The troops of the National Guard of Russia, National Guard of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, Tajikistan, representatives of special services and the Ministry of Emergency Situations will participate in the exercises. They will practice organizing air defense cover, using electronic warfare forces and means, and reconnaissance and strike drones.
