Armenian ambassador petitions Israel to return Armenian tourists in Jerusalem to Armenia

“We were asked to provide the names and passport data of the tourists; this information is already with the ambassador. And he is discussing with the [Israeli] government the most appropriate option to return the tourists to Armenia. Perhaps they will cross overland to Egypt. But at the moment, all entrances to and exits from Israel are closed,” the travel agency said, and noted that it is not yet known when these tourists will be able to return to Armenia.
“They should return on June 17, but at the moment the flights have been canceled. If the airspace is opened on the 17th of the month, it is possible our tourists also will return that day. Otherwise, we are going to contact the embassy tomorrow to figure out how to organize the return of the tourists,” the travel agency had stated Sunday.
