Armenian battalion Joins Syrian democratic forces to counter Terrorists sponsored by Turkey
At a time when the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continue to launch attacks on the NE Syria, the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the North and East Syria region announced on the first of December, a state of general mobilization.
In this context, the Armenian people in the NE Syria region made an official statement today, read by Silda Simon, in the Syriac Square in the Al-Nasira neighborhood in the city of Hasaka in the Al-Jazira Canton.
The statement stressed that the Armenian people stand by the Syrian Democratic Forces in defending the land and parade against the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.
The statement condemned the occupation attacks on Syria, pointing out that the Turkish occupation state led by Erdogan seeks to revive its Ottoman project after the Syrian Democratic Forces previously thwarted his project by eliminating ISIS mercenaries affiliated with the Turkish occupation in Al-Baghouz.
The statement also referred to the Turkish occupation state’s use of various mercenary groups from ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra and other names with the aim of occupying the areas of Aleppo and its countryside.
The statement promised that Aleppo, with its historical and cultural location, is part of Syria and the Armenian people will not allow it to be annexed to Ottoman Turkey.
The statement reviewed the historical positions of the Armenians in the face of the Turkish enemy, stressing that the Armenian people will not stand idly by in the face of the current occupation attacks. it explained that they will not allow the repetition of the Ottoman genocides against them, stressing the unity of the Syrian people in all its components in the face of the occupation.
The statement also affirmed the readiness of the Armenians to receive the Syrian people from Aleppo and all components affected by forced displacement.
At the end of the statement, the Armenian people announced the formation of an “Armenian battalion” to defend the lands of their people along with the Syrian Democratic Forces, confirming the determination of Armenians to protect Syrian lands and liberate them from Turkish occupation.
