YEREVAN — Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan reported that his helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing on Saturday due to adverse weather conditions.
The incident took place near Vanadzor, the third largest city in Armenia and the capital of the Lori province, located in the country’s northern mountainous area.
Detailing the event on his Facebook page, Prime Minister Pashinyan wrote, “Due to bad weather, our helicopter made an emergency landing in Vanadzor. Now we continue the trip by car. I wish you all a good day.” Following the safe landing, the Prime Minister and his entourage proceeded with their journey by car.
Media outlets reported that Prime Minister Pashinyan was en route to Baganis, a settlement on the newly demarcated border with Azerbaijan, when the weather conditions necessitated the unscheduled landing.
