Armenia’s Elina Avanesyan wins first Tennis match in Qatar Open

Doha — World No. 48 Elina Avanesyan won her first match at the Qatar Open tennis tournament in Doha.
The Armenian representative competed with world No. 36 Wang Xinyu (China) in the Round of 64 of the women’s singles competition and won in three sets—7:6 (7:3), 1:6, 7:6 (7:5).
In the Round of 32, Avanesyan will face the winner of the match between world No. 11 Daria Kasatkina (Russia) and world No. 59 Polina Kudermetova (Russia) in the Round of 64.
The prize fund of the Qatar Open is $3.6 million.
