Azerbaijan destroys Armenian cemeteries of several Karabakh villages
The Armenian cemeteries in Azerbaijani-occupied Nagorno-Karabakh’s Avetaranots, Jraghatsner, Zardanashen, Madatashen, and Sargsashen villages—which were subjected to ethnic cleansing by Azerbaijani authorities—have been destroyed, reports the Foundation for the Study of Armenian Architecture.Satellite images released in early March show that most of the tombstones in the aforesaid said cemeteries had disappeared during 2024.
The extent of the damage, however, is not clear from the photos.
