CALIFORNIA ARMENIAN LEGISLATIVE CAUCUS FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

Sacramento, CA – The California Armenian Legislative Caucus Foundation announced the winners of the 2025 California Armenian Legislative Caucus Foundation Scholarship. California high school students (Grades 9-12) were invited to participate in an essay and visual arts contest.
“Congratulations to all 6 of the winners! It is wonderful to see these talented high school students learning about Armenian Americans and showcasing the important impacts Armenian Americans have had on California and the importance in remembering the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide,” stated Chair, Assemblymember John Harabedian (D-Pasadena).
“I offer my congratulations to the winners of the 2025 California Armenian Legislative Caucus Foundation Scholarship. As we commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, each recipient has remarkably demonstrated, through their essay or visual art submission, the meaningful contributions of the Armenian diaspora to California’s cultural and social fabric. I am honored to represent the largest diaspora of Armenians in the state and am proud to see the California Armenian Legislative Caucus Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting access to higher education for our young people,” stated Senator Sasha Renée Pérez, (D-Pasadena).
“These students have not only demonstrated incredible creativity and originality, but they’ve also honored the rich history and contributions of the Armenian American community. As we commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, it’s so inspiring to see the next generation uplifting the Armenian culture and helping keep these stories alive,” stated Assemblymember Jessica Caloza (D-Los Angeles).
“Congratulations to the talented winners of the 2025 California Armenian Legislative Caucus Foundation Scholarships. Their work demonstrates the profound ability of the arts to shine a light on one of the darkest chapters of human history and the critical role of genocide education in our schools.” stated Assemblymember Nick Schultz (D-Burbank).
“I would like to congratulate all of the scholarship awardees. It is a brave thing to express oneself through art, both written and visual.
