CELEBRATE THE GAMES AT THE ARMENIAN OLYMPIC CLUB AT THE ARMENIAN CULTURAL CENTER
Paris is already vibrating to the rhythm of the Olympic Games! And from July 25 to August 11, 2024, in parallel, AGBU Paris Armenian Cultural Center is hosting the Armenian Olympic Club. This event, organized by AGBU France in partnership with various Armenian institutions, promises to bring together sports and culture enthusiasts around Armenian athletes attending the Paris 2024 Olympics.
During this period, visitors will have the opportunity to experience special moments in the company of Armenian athletes. In addition to watching the matches live, they will be able to meet the athletes, chat with them and even discover exclusive presentations on the history and performances of the Armenian Olympic team. Fans will also be able to take away unique souvenirs of the event at merchandise stands.
This project, supported by prestigious partners such as the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in France and the Armenian Olympic Committee, aims to strengthen ties between the Parisian and Armenian communities, while celebrating the values of sport and conviviality. The event will be attended by key figures such as Karen Giloyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.

And for the record, this is Armenia’s eighth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics since the post-Soviet era. For these Games, 15 Armenian athletes will represent their country in eight disciplines:
- Shooting: Elmira Karapetyan (European Championship bronze medallist, European Games runner-up and World Cup winner)
- Gymnastics: Artur Davtyan and Vahagn Davtyan
- Acrobatic wrestling: Vazgen Tevanyan and Arsen Harutyunyan
- Boxing: Davit Chaloyan
- Greco-Roman wrestling: Artur Aleksanyan, Malkhas Amoyan and Slavik Galstyan
- Weightlifting: Varazdat Lalayan, Garik Karapetyan and Andranik Karapetyan
- Swimming: Artur Barseghyan and Varsenik Manucharyan
- Athletics: Yervand Mkrtchyan
Also of note, boxer Davit Chaloyan has been named Armenia’s flag bearer for the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
