Dear Colleagues, Supporters, Partners and Friends,
I hope this email finds you well.
Its’s been quite a while since our last update. We’ve made a lot of progress on our film and I’m excited to share several milestones and updates with you.
For starters, here’s a link to our new two-minute trailer.
After nearly twelve years of dedication and passion, we are now on the brink of completing the fine cut, a pivotal stage in the journey of our film. The transition from rough cut to fine cut represents a transformation where every element, from color correction to sound mix, comes together to elevate the viewing experience. Imagine!
We’ve been screening this cut with Armenians and non Armenians alike and the response has been incredibly encouraging, reaffirming the emotional resonance and historical significance or our story: “tremendously moving” / “eye opening” / “it’s a beautiful film” / “the emotional tenor of the film is spot on.” / “I especially liked the way that our history is explained.”
With interest from PBS SoCal (Southern California) a flagship PBS station, we have an extraordinary opportunity to reach a wider audience, but to seize this opportunity, we need your support. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to support this phase by clicking HERE.
We need to raise a total of $65,000 for all the necessary broadcast-quality technical work. Our immediate goal is to raise $10,000 to continue progressing towards the fine cut. Every contribution counts. Even $50, if you can do it, would help us reach our goal!
A fine cut not only opens doors to broadcast opportunities but also enhances our chances of participating in film festivals and securing additional broadcast outlets in the U.S. and Europe. Also, this phase will involve the creation of additional trailers and publicity material, featuring some incredible scenes that didn’t make it into the final cut.
This film is not just a project; it’s a testament to resilience, a stand against genocide denial, and a celebration of cultural heritage. It’s a gift from my daughter Abby, who inspired this journey and a tribute to my ancestors who continue to guide me.
As we approach the finish line, I’m reminded of the transformative power of storytelling. Together, we can change then world with the stories we tell. Thank you for being a part of this journey and for your continued support.
With Thanks,
Nubar |
