Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) – Armenia

FPWC has been a strategic partner of International Animal Rescue since 2017 when the two organisations collaborated to launch The Great Bear Rescue.  The key areas of activity of the FPWC are protection and conservation of Armenia’s unique natural and cultural heritage. The Great Bear Rescue is a project designed to liberate captive bears from tiny, cramped cages where they are kept in private collections and, where possible, release them into the wild or, otherwise, provide them with safe sanctuary, while lobbying for policy change to stop bears (and other wildlife) from being kept in appalling conditions.
