Fox 11 Anchor and Reporter Araksya Karapetyan to Present Award at ANCA-WR Gala
The Armenian National Committee of America-Western Region announced that Fox 11 anchor and reporter Araksya Karapetyan will be attending the 2024 ANCA Western Region Gala to present the Steve Artinian Visionary Activist Award to individuals who have gone above and beyond in service to the Armenian-American community in the space of journalism.
Karapetyan is no stranger to the ANCA-WR Gala awards, having been bestowed with the “Excellence in Media” Award at the 2019 ANCA-WR Gala. Karapetyan has also taken a passionate role in highlighting others who have served the Armenian-American community, having served as master of ceremonies at the 2023 ANCA-WR Education Committee Genocide Education Awards ceremony.
“We are deeply honored to have Emmy award-winning journalist Araksya Karapetyan grace our stage, recognizing her as a beacon of excellence in storytelling,” said Oshin Harootoonian, Chair of the ANCA-WR Board of Directors. “Her commitment to elevating the voices of the Armenian-American community, while presenting awards to fellow journalists who share this passion, inspires us all to continue making a meaningful impact.”

It provides me with purpose and immense fulfillment to educate, advocate, and open people’s hearts and minds,” said Araksya Karapetyan, who co-anchors Good Day LA on Fox 11 News. “Through storytelling, I offer individuals a platform to share their experiences, bringing attention to their causes and struggles. This, in turn, fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation among their neighbors. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to do this meaningful work.”
The ANCA-WR will be hosting its latest Awards Gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on October 20, 2024.
