France Senate hosts conference on Armenians’ return to Karabakh
Paris — A conference on the topic “The Armenian people and the right to return to their lands” was held in the French Senate. Last year, the French Senate adopted an interparty resolution condemning Azerbaijan’s military offensive in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Senator Marie-Do Aeschlimann, a member of the France-Armenia Friendship Group, stated that the idea is to put Nagorno-Karabakh at the center of the debate. Luis Moreno Ocampo, Founder Chief Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court, also attended the aforesaid conference.
The event discussed the right of Armenians’ safe return of Nagorno-Karabakh, the latter’s recognition, and how the French Senate, together with Armenians, can support this movement, Senator Aeschlimann stated.
