French-Armenian Journalist Leo Nicolian denied entry to Armenia is on Hunger Strike for 16 days
Leo Nicolian, a French-Armenian journalist has been on hunger strike after being barred from entering Armenia.
In a video from Yerevan’s Zvartnots Airport the reporter stressed immigration officers refused to explain why he was not allowed to enter the country. Government officials have told him that he could be a danger to Armenia’s security.
Nikol has been on hunger strike at the airport for the last two weeks.
“I am not going to leave Armenia,” the man said, adding the entry ban could be linked to his visit and coverage of the latest developments in the border village of Voskepar.
