George Kirazian’s Novel ‘The Tamerlane Game’ Republished in New Edition

SAN DIEGO — Author George Kirazian’s mystery, “The Tamerlane Game,” has been published in a new edition by Archway/Simon and Schuster. It is available on the Archway website. The book is also available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

In the novel, detective Alex Gordian investigates the murder of Victor Lomax, uncovering decades-old secrets involving rare books, lost love, and hidden family ties. As Gordian unravels the case, he discovers betrayal, forgery, and a tragic legacy stretching from wartime Philippines to modern San Diego.

Kirazian, a longtime leader in the San Diego Armenian community and retired English professor, graduated from New York University and taught writing/literature for 40 years at Grossmont College. His books include “The Tamerlane Game: A Mystery,” “A Time for Fathers,” “The Princess of December,” “The Sleeping Violet,” “Perry the Peacock,” “Beyond the Koala Kingdom,” “Leo and the Mulberry Flute,” and “Easy Writing.”

He has also composed sacred classical music for the last two decades, including a new version of “The Divine Liturgy of the Armenian Apostolic Church” (recordings available on CD by Paros Chamber Choir and Pacific Camerata), and “The Book of Ruth: A Ballet,” based on the Old Testament story, which was produced by Mojalet Dance Company at the Poway Performing Arts Center.

Kirazian lives in San Diego with his wife, “Armenian Vegan” cookbook author Dikranouhi Kirazian, and enjoys time with his family and grandchildren.
