Greta Thunberg refuses to go to COP29 in Azerbaijan due to Armenian ethnic cleansing in Karabakh
Well-known environmental activist Greta Thunberg has refused to go to the COP29 climate conference in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, due to Armenian ethnic cleansing in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
It is extreme hypocrisy to allow an authoritarian oil state to host the COP, Thunberg told reporters in Georgia.
Also, she recalled Azerbaijan’s repression of its own population and Armenians, who were subjected to ethnic cleansing in Artsakh by Baku.
