Hungary provided assistance to flood victims in the Lori region and forcibly displaced people from Artsakh
YEREVAN — (ARMENPRESS) President of Armenian Red Cross Society (ARCS) David Nersisyan and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Tristan Azbej signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
According to the memorandum, the Hungarian government allocated about €500,000 to ARCS to provide food, hygiene products and bedding to 1,000 people affected by floods in the Lori region and 5,000 Artsakh residents forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
According to the Secretary of State, although the assistance was late, this step can be considered as the beginning of further cooperation.
