Hyatt and Green Rock Announce Plans for Armenia’s First Hyatt Regency Hotel

Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Green Rock LLC announced the signing of a franchise agreement for Hyatt Regency Dilijan, which will mark the debut of the Hyatt Regency brand in Armenia. The signing represents another milestone in Hyatt’s continued growth across Europe, Africa and the Middle East, expanding its premium full-service portfolio into another strategically important market. The agreement was commemorated during a ground breaking ceremony in Dilijan, attended by representatives from the Government of Armenia, Hyatt and Green Rock.

The hotel is designed to offer 205 guestrooms and suites, extensive dining experiences, family entertainment facilities, and a purpose-built conference centre. Situated approximately one-and-a-half hours by road from Yerevan and three-and-a-half hours from Tbilisi, the hotel is well positioned for both domestic and international travellers, with a rooftop helipad further enhancing access to the destination.

Known for its mountain landscapes, cultural heritage and national parks, Dilijan continues to grow as a year-round destination for leisure, business travel and events. Hyatt Regency Dilijan forms part of Green Rock’s broader destination vision, which includes hospitality education initiatives, community spaces, restaurants and future cultural attractions, including a music hall and art park, designed to establish Dilijan as a year-round tourism and lifestyle destination.

The hotel is expected to play an important role in the larger development, enhancing its positioning as Armenia’s leading mountain resort and conference destination and contributing to its tourism growth. With currently more than 245 Hyatt Regency hotels across over 50 countries, Hyatt’s premium full-service brand is renowned for bringing people together through contemporary hospitality and seamless experiences for business, meetings and leisure.
