International Observatory for Democracy in Armenia (IODA) to Host Press Conference on Armenia’s Democratic Trajectory following June 7 parliamentary election

YEREVAN, Armenia — The International Observatory for Democracy in Armenia (IODA) will hold an online press conference on 25 August 2026 to present its assessment of Armenia’s institutional and political developments following the 7 June 2026 parliamentary elections, and to outline the organization’s monitoring priorities for the coming period.

The press conference will feature prominent international legal and human rights experts, as well as IODA executive board members, Kenneth Roth, Jose Maria Aranaz, and Philippe Kalfayan, who will brief the media on the Observatory’s evaluation of the current democratic climate in Armenia.

IODA invites journalists, international organizations, election observers, human-rights organizations, diplomats accredited in the country, and other interested stakeholders to the press briefing.
