Lebanon’s PM forms new government: one of the ministers is Armenian

Beirut — Secretary General of the Lebanese Council of Ministers Mahmoud Makiya announced this afternoon the next composition of the new government of 24 ministers headed by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.

An Armenian name also appeared in the composition of the new Lebanese government: it is Minister of Youth and Sports Nora Bayrakdarian.

The composition of the new Lebanese government is as follows: Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Mitri, Minister of Defense Michel Mnassa, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Affairs Yousef Rajhi, Minister of Telecommunications Charles Hajj, Minister of Energy and Water Joseph Saddi, Minister of Interior Ahmed Al-Hajjar, Minister of Justice Adel Nassar, Minister of Finance Yassin Jaber, Minister of Health Rakan Nassereddine, Minister of Culture Ghassan Salemeh, Minister of Industry Joe Issa Al-Khouri, Minister of Economy and Trade Amer Al-Bsat, Minister of Agriculture Nizar Hani, Minister of Information Paul Morcos, Minister of Social Affairs Haneen Al-Sayed, Minister of Public Works and Transportation Fayez Rasamni, Minister of IDPs Kamal Shehadeh (Minister of State for Technology), Minister of Labor Mohamad Haider, Minister of Youth and Sports: Nora Bayrakdarian, Minister of Tourism Laura El-Hazen Lahoud, Minister of Administrative Development Fadi Makki, Minister of Education and Higher Education Rima Karameh, Minister of Environment Tamara El-Zein.
